The Ashwaubenon Public Safety Honor Guard was established by Retired Officer Patrick Mc Keever and Captain Mark Zvara. The original Honor Guard was developed to respond to funerals for line of Duty Deaths. In the 1990’s The Honor Guard was used to represent the department for the State Law Day. In the late 1990’s the Honor Guard posted colors for Ashwaubenon’s D.A.R.E. Graduation.
In 2004 the Honor Guard transitioned to a Ceremonial Honor Guard. Most of the members have been trained by the Washington Metropolitan Police Department. The Ceremonial Honor Guard responds to numerous events in addition to line of duty deaths. Such as: Ashwaubenon Days, Boy Scout Events, and Civic Group events.
